UMBC Event & Conference Services provides a wide variety of spaces, resources, and services to accommodate youth and adult groups, athletic summer camps, educational groups, and corporate/organizational events.
We offer suite-style, residence hall, or apartment overnight accommodations with individually controlled heat and air-conditioning, high-speed internet, and free parking for overnight visitors. In addition, UMBC offers a traditional dining hall with numerous food concepts and the ability to accommodate certain dietary restrictions and cultural dining needs, as well as a full-service catering option.
With dedicated event advisors and event production staff, Event & Conference Services is here to make planning your event as easy and seamless as possible. We can assist you in selecting venues, and creating the look, sound, and feel that you want for your event.

Venues
From arenas for graduation ceremonies, to conference rooms for meetings, and everything in between, UMBC has a space for you. You can check out our list of spaces here or request a quote.
On campus you can find everything you need for single or multi-day events. Check out The Commons for dining options, a game room, our book store and snack shop. Fitness facilities are available at the Retriever Athletic Center, and the University Center is home to Chick-fil-A and Starbucks.
Proximity
The UMBC campus is located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, providing easy access to both of these major metropolitan centers and is only a 10-minute drive or shuttle from BWI Thurgood Marshal International Airport. Visit UMBC!
The nearby towns of Catonsville (Frederick Road) and Arbutus (East Drive) have retail districts with a variety of small shops and services. Ellicott City, 10 minutes away, is a historic mill town with excellent antique shops. Arundel Mills Mall, 15 minutes away, offers shopping, entertainment, and restaurants.
Baltimore
The open-air walkways and shops of Baltimore’s Harborplace, as well as Camden Yards, home of the Orioles, and M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Ravens, are also conveniently located from UMBC.
Washington D.C.
The nation’s capital is a short 45-minute drive from our campus.
